The great photographer Jean Loup Sieff took the original in 1976. At University in the early 1980's I had a poster of 'Cafe de Flore Tot le Matin' on my bedroom wall serving as inspiration to get out of University as soon as possible and pursue a life of adventures which started every day with a strong coffee, a small beer and a Gaulois somewhere like St.Germain de Pres in Paris: I would place my Hasselblad on the round table and ponder the new day through darkened glasses. I copied the original a number of times shooting wide and showing the news stand over the road on the left with a parked Ford Escort, a VW Beetle and a man running from left to right. My copies could never tell the story of the original picture. and the real French Fashion Photographer.
Jean Loup Sieff was the greatest of artists and I was lucky to find my inspiration there. Stop looking at this stuff and search him out immediately.
